Earnings disclaimer
We'd rather be honest than impressive. Here is exactly what we are and are not promising.
Last updated: August 2026
1. No guarantee of earnings
The 500 Sprint makes no guarantee, representation or warranty that you will earn any particular amount of money, or any money at all. Every method described on this site depends on factors we do not control and cannot predict, including the effort and time you put in, your existing skills and experience, local demand and competition, pricing, platform rules and fees, seasonality, and general economic conditions. Individual results vary widely. Some members earn nothing.
2. Figures and examples are illustrative
Earnings ranges, prices, package costs, calculator outputs and any monetary figures shown in guides, case studies, success stories or marketing material are illustrative examples used to explain how a method works. They are not projections of your results, not averages, and not typical outcomes. Where amounts are shown in a currency other than pounds sterling, they are automatically converted from a GBP base figure using indicative exchange rates and rounded — treat them as approximate, not as quoted prices.
3. Case studies describe individual experiences
Member stories, including the ones describing outcomes that did not work, are accounts of individual experiences at a particular time in a particular market. They are shared to illustrate an approach, not to set an expectation. You should assume your experience will differ.
4. Educational content, not professional advice
Everything on this site is general educational and informational content. It is not financial, investment, accounting, tax, legal, insurance or employment advice, and no client, advisory or fiduciary relationship is created by your use of it. Before acting on anything here, seek advice from a suitably qualified professional who knows your personal circumstances and jurisdiction.
5. Your legal, tax and regulatory responsibilities
You are solely responsible for operating lawfully: registering as self-employed or forming a business where required, holding any licence, permit or insurance your activity requires, complying with consumer, data protection and advertising law, and declaring and paying tax on any income you earn. Requirements differ by country and often by region within a country.
6. Risks: gig, delivery and driving-based work
Methods that involve driving, delivery or working in other people's homes carry physical and financial risk. Personal vehicle insurance typically does not cover commercial or hire-and-reward use, and using a vehicle for paid work without the correct cover may void your policy. Consider vehicle wear, fuel, licensing requirements, personal liability, working-time and safety, and any background-check or right-to-work obligations imposed by the platform you work through.
7. Risks: reselling and product-based methods
Buying to resell puts your own money at risk — stock may not sell, or may sell below cost. Platforms charge listing, selling and payment-processing fees that can materially change your margin and may alter those fees at any time. You are responsible for the authenticity, safety and legality of what you sell, for accurate descriptions and returns handling, and for your tax position: in many countries, buying with intent to resell is trading income from the first sale, and online marketplaces report seller data to tax authorities.
8. Risks: service and freelance methods
Offering services usually means working as an independent contractor rather than an employee. You generally have no employment protections, sick pay, holiday pay or pension contributions, you carry the risk of late or non-payment, and you may need professional indemnity or public liability insurance. Some jurisdictions have rules on worker classification, written contracts and cancellation rights for consumers. Use written terms and agree scope and price before starting work.
9. Risks: online, digital and platform-dependent methods
Methods that depend on a third-party platform, marketplace or account are subject to that platform's rules, which can change without notice, and to suspension or closure of your account. Do not treat a single platform as a stable income source, and keep your own record of customers and work where the platform's terms permit it.
10. Third-party tools and links
The resource directory links to third-party tools and services. We are not responsible for their content, pricing, availability, security or terms, and a listing is not an endorsement or a recommendation that a tool is suitable for you. Check any provider's own terms and pricing before signing up.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The 500 Sprint accepts no liability for any loss of income, profit, capital, data or opportunity, or any indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of this site or from any decision you take based on its content. Nothing in this disclaimer limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
